Elect Judge Daniel B. Malone

Democrat

Circuit Court of Cook County

Thank you for your interest in learning more about me. My family and I are lifelong residents of the Southwest side of Chicago. My wife, Michele, and I have two children.  I attended St. Jane de Chantal grammar school, Fenwick High School, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and De Paul University College of Law.

In February 2009, I was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court as a judge to fill a vacancy in the 3rd Judicial Subcircuit of Cook County.  Before becoming a judge, I practiced law in Illinois since 1986.  I began my professional career as an associate attorney and advanced to partner with The Healy Law Firm in 2001.  In 23 years as a lawyer, I worked diligently and represented over 900 injured victims. This required preparation and prosecution of complex civil litigation including construction accidents, workers’ compensation claims, product liability cases and medical malpractice.

Currently, I am a member of the Illinois Judges Association, Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association.  Also, in 2009 my peers elected me President of the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association, which has over 500 members in Illinois.  I volunteer in our community as a long-term commissioner on the Southwest Home Equity Assurance Program, Midway Noise Compatibility Commission, and am Chairman of the St. Mary Star of the Sea Finance Committee.  I will continue to work hard and deliver equal justice to all under the law. Please tell your family and friends about my candidacy and remember me in the Primary Election on February 2, 2010.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

                                                                                                                                                Dan
